Now when I was a kid, like back in the 'Ought-Fourties' they had these 'Movie Matinees' where you could go for like 4 hours for a Quarter
{This was your mother's babysitter)
and watch a bunch of Cartoons, MovieTime News, a Three Stooges short, and a feature which usually was a White Hat/Black Hat Cowboy thing.
There always was a 'Serial' that left you hanging until next week, each episode with the Hero in grave danger with some dreadful thing just happening . . .
