Command and Conquer remastered

I *loved* Red Alert 2 and played a ton of Tiberian Sun, but I'll sit the remasters out (if EA gets around to these later titles).

I'd rather get a good, fresh RTS property than play some of this reheated stuff.

I can see remasters being a great way to introduce a new generation of players to some gems of yesteryear. With their Sprite or Voxel based graphics, 2D RTS games almost have an indie game charm to them. Remaster gets rid of the comparability and resolution problems that keep new gamer's away.
 
... ill probably look at buying this. C&C95 was just too good to pass on the chance of a good remaster.
 
I'm torn on it.. I loved those games, and it's been a very long time since I've touched them. I'm sure that I'll remember somethings as they happen, but in many ways it'll be new again. On the flip side, I'd rather them create new stories rather than updating graphics and re-releasing them. I'm pretty over this gens recycling of games. I get it's expensive to make new ones, but how many times can you re-release Boarderlands?

I agree, be nice if they did a HD re-skin then sold add on “mission” packs with new maps and new missions.
Make the affordable like $5/10 missions/5 maps
Maybe add a new map specific unit in them occasionally.
Bonus points if they could add a better AI in them
 
it just came to me that if they have remastered the FMVs, then this game might be worth buying just for the final scene - YOU KNOW WHAT IM TALKINGABOUT
 
I'll buy it for sure, it was one of the first PC games I had as a kid and I played the shit out of it. It'd be great if they remastered the FMV's, they were pretty entertaining back in the day (especially the Nod ones). Also, they better not change the music, and I hope Fun Park is still in it somehow.
 
I feel really comfortable playing the old versions. They probably won't change anything anyway, just make it "HD". Knowing EA it's one more way to milk money from the fanbase.

Had a co worker who swore by C&C games, but cash was tight back then, and I forgot about it. Hopefully the difficulty won't be too bad.

I played red alert about 4 years ago. Aged pretty well but I’m not a graphic hound either
I remember a few hell missions but you can do them assuming failing 5 to 10 times doesn’t make you rage quit

Lol, Trying not to rage quit will be my biggest problem. I played Starcraft 2 a few months ago, and I was horrible.
 
I was hoping it would have C&C Generals since it's my favorite one. Never really cared for the original C&C or Red Alert games, so I think I'll pass on this one.

Respectable choice but I find it weird someone doesn’t like Red Alert or classic C&C.

However I understand in another sense. Seems like it’s very similar to how I don’t like Half-life

I played Total Annihilation, AoE, Warcraft 2, and Starcraft. I never really cared for the C&C series until Generals and I stopped caring about it with Tiberium Wars since EA ruined it.
 
I was hoping for a Remastered Dune 2... Dune 2000 was a disappointment with those damn Siege Tanks.
