Also you should be able to upgrade to Merom later on when it is released, with a possible BIOS update, is that correct?
Anyway i look forward to your results, 3Ghz maybe?![]()

Stevty, Why did you select the Core Duo over the same cost (but faster?) Presler, such as the D 920? (I ask only to learn, there is no criticism implied; I do not know much at all about the Core Duo CPUs.)

Because the core DUO is a taste of the future, and its IPC & pipeline length is alot more efficient then its netburst 9xx series counterpart.
Basically this processor should spank the 920 once its OC?ed a little, not to mention i think stevty has already had enough trouble with his current 920.

$99 for a Core Duo motherboard that has a 16x PCI-E is a definite steal.
I wish they'd make a full ATX version with more expansion. You know any place to get Core Duo's for cheap?

Newegg, zipzoomfly, and Ewiz.com all have them for decent prices. The 1.83ghz is around the same price as an X2 3800+(~$300). I suspect it will overclock as well as the X2, but I'll let ya know for sure once I actualy have it.
