Reaper:
New TV show coming out on the CW network (ugh lol), but....directed by Kevin Smith!!!!
They showed the pilot episode in Kevin Smith's panel, and I actually enjoyed it. It has its humor, and the show can be very intersting. It's about a dude w/ no future and a deadend job at some homedepot/walmart-type market.... all of a sudden, he finds out that his parents sold his soul to the devil. The devil enlists him to catch escaped souls from hell. It reminded me of Yu Yu Hakusho almost...
But ya, I liked the characters, and it looks promising. Starts sometime in Sept on CW network on tuesdays @ 9pm.

All I can say here is this:
the HDDVD version will have the most features. HDDVD has an option where if you can play the pre-CG version of the movie (where you see only blue screen and actors) alongside the actual movie (the pre-CG version being in PIP).
the HDDVD version also has a game to play off your hddvd player. BD version won't come w/ any of these. It will just be the DVD version in hi-def.
Battlestar Galactica:
Man, this panel was HOT!!! Tricia, Katee, Mary, and Xena..dude.. I was just staring @ Katee Sackoff's knockers the entire time (I'll post pics after I come back from the convention floor later tonight).

Anyways, there will be a miniseries based off the journey of Pegasus. In someways it refreshes the story line, but it includes a lot of stuff that will setup for Season 4, (WHICH IS STARTING IN JANUARY 2008 BTW). The miniseries will supposedly touch on the first cylon war, and fill in a couple of gaps, mainly through the perspective of the Pegasus (so admiral kain is back) from the cylon attack on the colonies all the way up to its destruction.
Miniseries is called "Razer."
oh and Xena will be "unboxed" and come back for 2-3 episodes in Season 4!! nice. And ya, this will be the final season.
Futurama:
SWEET!!! a featurelength movie will come out on DVD in December. They showed the preview for it during the panel. Sorry I couldn't record it for you guys. I tried to, but one of the security dudes told me to turn off my camera. They did say "no cameras or recording during the preview!"
They released a comic book for the panel attendees, and all the voice actors read it aloud for us (it was great!!!! it binds the story from the series end to the movie. it was ultra hilarious). The movie will also be aired as a 4-part series on Comedy Central. Whether the series will continue after that on the network will depend on the RATINGS of the 4-part miniseries (essentially the movie was broken up to 4 continious episodes). SO PLEASE, EVERYONE! WATCH THE MINISERIES ON COMEDY CENTRAL IF WE WANT FUTURAMA BACK!!!

My impression of LAIR for PS3:
low FPS in a lot of places, most models look crappy, grainy textures, the AI for the ground troops are horrible, explosion effects look meh... It has its moments, but overall, I was disappointed. The controls were ok at first, but frustrating w/ the 6axis thing. The gameplay was a bit repetitive. It had a grainy overall look, and the terrain looked like as if each model was absolutely separate from its surroundings (water, land.. where's the shorline? castle, ground.. didn't blend in. It's as if all the buildings and environments were just attached together like legos). With those combined, it wasn't really a good experience. I could feel myself just straining my eyes a lot just to play the game.
6axis part of game:
Controls felt a bit awkward. I couldn't execute that boost move consistently, and at times, it'd do boost w/o me wanting to do it. Controls were pretty much not as responsive. It really felt like a chore to move around.
The entire game ran at nothing more than 40 fps tops. Some scenes looked like it dipped below 20 fps. I'd say the game runs at around 30 fps avg.
verdict:
all in all, I was very very disappointed with the game. The graphics make my eyes bleed, controls leave more to be desired, the AI sucks... granted, I only played the version they showed at Comic Con at the Playstation booth, but what they showed pretty much sucked. This game has one of the worse overall graphical look coming out of the ps3.
