I remembered I have the Superman comics (still wrapped) where he got croaked. These worth anything yet?

Looks like Spawn #1 (1992) in mint condition is only $38

thought it would be more

No, the Superman isn't worth much. Unfortunately, it probably never will be. Like most collectible values, comics' values are based on popularity and scarcity. With the "Death of Superman" and Spawn #1, they made too many of them. I'm surprised Spawn #1 is up to $38. It's been around $20 for the longest time. The best way to check comic values is to search completed items on eBay.

I picked up Spawn #1 for 7 bucks in the back issue bin at a comic shop about a year ago. Same shop has several issues under number 10 still on the shelf at cover price.

I'm not sure how much the Superman one is worth. Probably not much because they overflowed the stores with that issue.

I have Spawn #1 also and even though it's not worth much now, it's value is probably gonna go up a lot in the future as it's the best Image comic ever.
