Comfortable headphones/earbuds for sleeping?

Does anyone know of some comfortable, yet quality earbuds or headphones suited for use on a side sleeper? Recently I've gotten into using BrainWave Generator (www.bwgen.com) to help me to get to sleep at night, but my headphones are too uncomfortable to use on my side, forcing me to sleep on my back, which is counter-productive. Anyone have any experience with a pair of Koss The Plug(s)? I'm looking to spend up to $30.

From my experience, the Plugs would stick out too much. I can't really help you much, though, since I haven't tried sleeping with canalphones. The Sony Fontopia canalphones are smaller, so those might work better.

There used to be flat pillow speakers used in hospitals. You just lie on your side and listen away. They still exist.

eh, those speakers wouldn't let sound in both ears, which breaks the purpose of BWG. i'm talking stereo headphones/earbuds that don't leak much sound from right to left.

Sheesh! Get a helmet with built in stereo ear pieces - motorcycle or aviator's.

Get a pair of those in-the-ear headphones like the Sony Fontopias. I had them for a while and they were much more usable when I slept on my side. You can still feel them in your ear, but it didn't hurt like normal earbuds would. I had the white version of these:

the sonys are good if you just listen to music occasionally, but if youre even half the audiophile that i am go with the $80 shure e3c or the slightly more expensive ($150)
shure e4c <-------- best sounding earbuds EVER

Edit: oops...didn;t read the part where u said under $30... if you decide on spending more... keep these in mind

I found low-profile earbuds to be semi-comfortable... not the best but does the job.

actually I am an audio buff, so I am seriously considering E4Cs (came very close to pulling the trigger one day, then decided I should wait and try them out first because a friend was ordering them). But where can you get E4Cs for $150? Lowest I've found is $185.

hmm... macmall and pcmall used to have $30 MIRs but i guess they got dicontinued. However, macmall has them for $180 right now. Got the wrong price on the e3c's though... $120 instead of $80. Cnet.com has a thorough reveiw w/ video of the e4c's in case u want to check that out
