Comfortable flip flops?

I'm a San Diegan so flip flops are as common as underwear out here..but the ones I have hurt if I have to walk more than 10 minutes in them.

I used to have an old pair whose brand I can't remember, that was soft and would mold to the shape of your feet and I could walk for hours in them..anyone know of a pair that you can actually walk around in for extended periods of time?

birkenstocks. those pesky germans walk everywhere!

for flip flops, my favorites are Reefs. i've had the ones with the gimmick bottle opener on the bottom for the past 5 years. they're about worn out now.

Flip flops are unacceptable as footwear. Get some good sandals.

flip flops are for public showers to keep you from getting foot fungas

I have a couple of pairs that my wife got for me from Land's End several years ago. MUCH different construction than most flip-flops, decent arch support, relatively heavy sole with "ridges" on the foot bed and "siping" on the bottom for traction. (they make a wierd squeaking noise when they're wet...like a foot fart. 😀

I've worn them intermittently for 6-7 years and can't wear them out.

(land's end no longer offers them. She bought them before the Sears buy out)

Another vote for Reef's. Comfortable, durable, and handy (I have the ones with the bottle opener on the bottom...wearing them right now in fact).

If you want something leather, Dunham makes the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn.
