Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina) in the sky right now

It's actually not cloudy for once, just checked as I got off my night shift but I don't see anything with the naked eye, maybe if I had let it adjust but too cold for that so went in car. 😛. It should be near big dipper, that's where my app was pointing. Almost strait up.

On other note Saturn is visible in about south east. Nice and bright.

In the mornings not too far from Venus.

Comet Catalina just makes it's closest approach to Earth today.
Probably need binoculars or scope to see it unless you have really dark skies. Look just above the bend in the handle of the Big Dipper.
I haven't bothered with this comet as the best time for me is in the mornings & i don't really have the time then... + clouds.

Can see stars decently here, but the kicker is that it's freaking cold on the fingers so can't spend too much time with any kind of equipment like telescope, camera, etc at this time of year. If I was to set my camera on a long exposure I could probably capture it.
