I've heard quite a few Bill Cosby bits many years ago that I thought were pretty good. He's clean.

Bill Cosby is also very good. Johnny Carson was great as well.

Monty Python weren't allowed to swear on TV but they still managed to be hilarious. I think John Cleese was the first man to say 'fvck' on live TV, but it was long after python.

Exactly. You shouldnt need to cuss to be funny, unless your target audience has an average IQ of...ohh...80.

Point is, shock humor really doesnt hold a candle to good clean comedy.
