Sometimes they luck out during the test and the DMV person just points at a sidewalk with no cars anywhere. I had to do it in CA in1999.

I'm not that great at parallel parking. Hell, it's been years since I've done it. I would have given up and found a better spot after 2min, but to go 30 is full on determination.

I had to parallel park in 1988 in New York state. My MIL supposedly had to pull into an angled parking spot and back out when she got her license in Florida some time in the 90's.

From this video it seemed like the driver didn't understand how the direction of the wheels affected the direction of the car in reverse. After a sufficiently large number of attempts I'm surprised she didn't say to herself, "OK, let me try doing the opposite of what I was doing before."

Thank you. I laughed at the video (especially the commentary), but it was also really aggravating. Two choices lady. You been repeating the first choice now for 10 minutes with no success. How about door number two.
I wish they'd have gone downstairs to interview her on camera and survey the bumper of that black car she kept bumping.

Took my Ohio test in....'83? Took 4 times to pass the parallel parking. First three were in a '69 Malibu with no power steering. Fourth was in a '77 Coupe DeVille. Should have rented a LeCar!
