Come see the liberal love for Hillary

Feingold's only popular with the left blogosphere because of his tough stance re: Censure. He's better off in the Senate than the Executive branch.

He has also been divorced twice, making him not palatable to many Americans and some people still won't vote for a Jewish person for President. In addition, he will not be able to raise enough money to be competitive as evidenced by his soft fundrasing totals for his PAC. If anyone will run to the left of Hillary, it may be Edwards or Gore. The leftis blogosphere really likes to attack Hillary and Lieberman and increasingly the Democratic leadership i.e. Schumer, Emanuel, etc. I just wish they focused more energy and money in defeating Republicans.

Well, in many respects, the DLC isn't much different from the GOP. About the only real difference is there is much less pandering to radical clerics. They are both corporatist ideologies, though.

I don't think (at least I believe) most folks love Hillary, but the top DNC brass sure does.

Edited for accuracy.

Dean leads the DNC and I don't think you'll find a lot of love from him toward Hillary.

I've been pretty clear that I think the Democrat Left doesn't like Hill. But at the same time... If she gets the nom it's not like they'll vote for someone else come November.

The game she's playing right now is a bit of a gamble for her. She is basically ignoring the radical left base of her party and is instead focusing on the more moderate members. She's also trying to make herself more appealing to the fence-sitting moderates and even the more liberal members of the Republican party. This is a great strategy for a general election.

The gamble is whether or not she can garner enough support from her own party to get the nom.

This is going to be one of the most interesting election cycles I've ever seen. I can't wait.

If by "radical left" you mean the 60% of the country that is against Bush and Iraq, then yes she is ignoring us. Good luck getting through the primary lady, just look at Lieberman...

Just an FYI for the misguided righties who think the left has any love for Hillary, they don't.

Ya know, if you took that same poll, added Bush (assuming he could run again), McCain, and a choice Repubs - then gave it to the "righties" - you wouldn't see Bush anywhere near the top of the list, either. Does that mean all you "misguided lefties" who think the right has any love for Bush all also full of sh1t? I think so. 😀

So in recap, Bush is not the ideal Republican and Hillary is not the ideal Democrat. Wow, we're making some real progress here, guys.

Warner is a Bilderberger. He could drop dead for all I care. He's part of the reason why this country (and the world) are run by corporations.

Feingold and Obama. They're my two favorite Dems for President.

Obama will be president some day, but not in '08. His background is amazing with all the work he has done for his community over getting a high paid lawyer job. He's sooo well spoken and he seems to really want to unify the country.

I don't see how that's relevant. Bush won the nomination and the presidency in 2000, so unless he kills a stripper, he's a lock for the nomination in 2004. Hillary hasn't won anything yet but she's a lightning rod for the GOP. If you just listen to the GOP talking points it would seem 85% of Dems want her in the primaries TWO YEARS from now, but that isn't the case. Bush may not have very much love by anyone now, but he had all the GOP love he needed in 2000.

Kos is an interesting group of Dems. They even bash the Clinton News Network over there...maybe it's just gotten so bad that even the liberals over at Kos can't stomach it anymore though.

I like Clark myself.

When a general gets removed from his command...that means he sucks and is a crappy leader.....not that he should run for president.

I'm not sure why you say this, link with proof?

Military experience does not make a president, look at Grant at one extreme and GW on the other. One military hero with a corrupt administration and one chicken hawk draft dodger with a corrupt administration.

It doesn't matter who the Democrats think would be best, it's who can take the most votes from the Republicans. Feingold's #1 platform is that he supports socialist health care programs. Democrats love that, but he'll be slaughtered but the libertarian/republican vote.
