I was in a minimart next to my office to get caffeine boost sugar free redbull.

Young girl in front of me.....21-24 years old. 5'4" +/- easily 170-200 lbs. Huge gut. portly. stomach hanging down over waste of pants.

She buys not 1 but 2 hostest blueberry muffin loafs.

http://www.dietfacts.com/html/...-snack-cakes-12115.htm

440 cals each.

What does she buy to wash it down with.....WHOLE MILK.

Seriously she isn't even trying. She could have easily only gotten one loaf or maybe even a diet soda or ....gasp...water. But 2 loafs? why 2???? Why couldn't she settle for a nutrigrain bar....she must not care at all.

When I say things like this I usually get the rant that maybe they don't care, maybe its ok to them to look the way they do. Hell if I know but to me it seems like pure laziness.

There are lots of people out there who have no regard for how they appear. Everyone draws that line in a different spot - some people are just concerned with being fit, not with how they dress - others try to dress (relatively) well but don't care about fitness.

I had to fire a guy many years ago because he had terrible hygiene. I had to have almost weekly talks with him about cleanliness - washing his hair, clean fingernails (working at Kinkos in my early 20s). Went on for a year, I documented for more than 9 months. Ended up having to can him. He was a good worker, friendly, always on time, etc, but you couldn't get the guy to shower more than once every week or two.

It's just how some people are.

it is sad to see that. it's also sad to see people like that in tight clothes which accentuate their rolls or actually allow them to spill out, aka muffintops.

Excuse me miss do you realize you being totally obese is directly related to you having 1100 calorie snacks every time you need to put gas in your car? You spent 10 dollars on gas and 4 dollars on snacks. If you keep up that 40% snack to gas ratio you will find yourself immobile within 10 years. On the plus side eventually you won't need to buy gas again because you won't fit into any cars.

She probably calls herself a "BBW", and lives in a state of permanent denial.

I think half the time people just don't know what they're eating.

Like my idiot friend who thinks eating a casers salad is ok for his diet. My guess because it's name ends with "salad". He does not know that Caesar Dressing is nothing but lard and spices.

Or when people think eating something labeled "light" or "diet" it's ok. I mean, when one or two ingredients you use is light or diet, and the rest of the ingredients are nothing but fatty foods. I think it's just simple denial.

BBW??

"Big Beautiful Women". i.e. attractive face, but overweight/obese.

You might think to yourself "if she lost 100 lbs, I would find her quite pretty".

Hehe, actually, bean burritos and raw broccoli have a high snack-to-gas ratio. Blueberry muffin loaves, OTOH, merely have a high snack-to-ass ratio. :)

and you care, why, exactly?
if people spent as much time on work and things that matter as they do on worrying about what other people do, we might have a cure for cancer and aids and there might be peace in the middle east.
