im trying to make my own guestbook and it wants me to upload a .pl script file to my cgi-bin folder...? anybody know whats going on here? i tried uploading the .pl somewhere but it doesnt show up when i try to view it w/ browser... 404

please help

What script is it? .pl is Perl, and putting it in the cgi-bin directory basically means you're allowing it to execute.

you failed "the interweb 101." How did you create the guestbook? Did you put all of this inside the HTML folder from your host? What is the url you're trying to go to?

I don't have time to guide you through installing a perl script, but I know that fantastico has some sort of built in guestbook script which is 10x easier to install.
