Somewhat inspired by Naustica's F1 post, and somewhat inspired by a similar lottery conversation that the wife and I had.

For the purposes of this thread, your fantasy garage has 10 slots to fill. You will need a Daily Driver for you and your spouse if you have one, the rest is up to you. I only ask that the cars be attainable, so you really arent going to be able to have all F1s, or some such nonsense.

On to the selections:

Daily Drivers for my wife and myself up first.

LS 460 for the wife

A nice Denali pick-up for myself

Now for the good stuff:

A proper British sports car

1965 GTO, a convertible would be preferred.

I would even settle for a replica here

A big fat Cadillac converible

A nice early Bronco

A real Yenko Camaro

Its just ins't complete without a Dodge

Last but certainly not least, GNX

Thats mine, feel free to ridicule. :D

Ariel Atom for a daily driver - SOMEHOW I'd make it work!:D (my current DD is a motorcycle)
Old Triumph w/non-Lucas electronics
Toyota FJ45 Land Cruiser for off-road adventures
Some sort of Lexus for a luxo-barge
souped-up super-sleeper turbo Dodge Caravan, with upgraded suspension and a vastly lowered CG
Old turbo 911
Some sort of turbo diesel car...but I don't really want a VW. Might have to grey-market this one.
Ford GT40
Ultima GTR (kit car)
Whatever I can get that's closest to a Duesenberg yet fits the OP's criteria:)

Olds 442 convertible, 4 speed.
1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible, black. Suicide doors FTW.
1997 Lincoln Town Car, built engine, trans, and suspension. Black with limo tint. It would be beautiful.
F430
Zonda F
F250 4x4 stick shift diesel, crew cab 8 ft bed.
Maserati Gran Turismo
Bentley Arnage Red Label R
Maybach for when I want to be a passenger
Rolls Royce, the new drop top, don't remember the model.

Lexus LS460L: with that rear seat option thingy for daily. Rather inexpensive(relatively) so if it gets dinged no big deal, there's a million dealerships that can fix it.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo: for the missus

Maserati Granturismo: 4 seater grand tourer for trips to wherever

Alfa Romeo Competitizone 8C: Sex, pure unadultered sex

Aston Martin DBS: See above but I'll probably drive this more since it'll be easier to source parts and find dealerships

Koieggsegg CCXR: When I need to get to the airport really, really fast

Lamborghini Murcielago: Looks like an axe murderer just sitting still

Jaguar XF: Looks nice, interior is quite incredible

Mercedes Cl65 AMG: When I need a touch of class

And since bikes are smaller than cars I'll fit 2 in the last garage

Suzuki Hayabusa GX1300R: Newly updated now makes something like 180hp

Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport: Every Moto Guzzi is a little piece of history

List subject to change, I'm still thinking about it:

1. Mercedes CLS 63 AMG - black - The sweeping roofline works for me.
2. Ferrari F430 Spyder - red
3. Early 70's Oldsmobile 442 convertible - red/black stripes - with LS7 engine and modernized suspension, brakes, interior. The big convertible cruiser.
4. Bugatti Veyron - It's not the best looking, but it's hard to argue with that engineering and 1000 hp.
5. Lamborghini Murcielago
6. 69 Camaro - decked out Better Off Dead style + LS7
7. Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder - Bueller, Bueller...
8. 2003 BMW M5 - with a pair of turbos added.
9. McLaren F1 - (Edit: bumped the Aston Martin DBS off for a McLaren)
10. Lamborghini LM - the big V12 powered truck, looks kinda like a Hummer. If I ever want to do any offroad stuff, this is the vehicle.

That's tough to limit it to 10. There are so many awesome cars in the world.

You guys are making some good interesting lists. The Alfa, Maserati, '66 Continental, Koenigsegg, '60 Caddy convertible, lots of interesting stuff. My list would probably change if it was my money that I was spending.

There seem to be very few Japanese cars on people's lists (not counting the motorcycles). Nobody wants a Skyline, NSX, or Supra in their dream garage? How about an old 2000GT?

Mercedes CLS500 AMG for the wife
2008 M3 Coupe for me as a daily driver
2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
1969 Jaguar XKE V12 Convertible in BRG
2008 Ferrari 599 Fiorano - Red
2008 Lotus Exige S
2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab
Lamborghini Murcielago
Ford GT
Bentley Continental GTC

I can't believe I only have two convertibles in that group...might have to reconsider a car or two in that group.

I'm working on getting my real garage to 10 vehicles, they're enough work/excitement that I don't need the fantasy.

1972 VW Beetle(generator currently not charging, ready for a new paint job)
1975 Honda CB550 (quirky, needs new tires, wiring isn't all connected, rust to be cleaned up, but a daily non-rain driver)
1976 Honda CB550 (parts!)
1985 Honda CB700SC (Came with the 550's, not running, needs a title and a new ignition to be coaxed to life, otherwise it'll get stripped for parts.)
1987 Toyota Tercel(recently aquired beater with a leaking clutch slave cylinder to take the beetles place while it gets body work)

I'm halfway there! If I throw the fiancee's 2006 Toyota Scion xA into the mix I'm over the halfway point.

First, the practical cars:
2007 BMW M5 Touring-Daily driver
2007 Lexus RX330 Hybrid-Daily driver #2 and stuff-hauler
2007 Civic Type R (JDM Version)-For discreet driving around town...the fact that it's faster than an R34 GTR or RX-7 around Suzuka circuit is another boon ;)

Then the fantasy garage, in that order:
2004 Porsche 911 GT2
1998 RUF CTR2 Sport-Perhaps the greatest of the air-cooled 993s
1999 Mine's R34 GTR V-Spec N1
2002 Honda NSX-R (or a Type S-Zero)
2007 Ferrari F430 Scuderia
1990 Audi Coupe Quattro S2 (with an RS2 engine/parts transplant)
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 TME

Awesome list, OP. Don't really care for the Denali, I'd have to have a Dodge 3500 megacab w/Cummins 6.7 diesel, and the new Aison 6 speed auto....

Another that I would give my, uh, left little toe for:

1969 COPO Camaro:Supposedly less than 20 left.....

Bah, he's too focused on old detroit iron. Hell, if you've driven one you've driven them all.

The point of this thread is fantasy...in other words, the cars you'd dream of having. Truth be told though I'd probably never drive the Lambo if I had a Ferrari 599 Fiorano.

not in any particular order except for the Carrera GT, which is #1

1. Porsche Carrera GT - loved it ever since i saw it on porsche.com a year before it came out.
2. Subaru WRX STI - not sure on year but current one isn't bad. it's the first turbo i got behind the wheel of so yea...probably the daily driver
3. mazdaspeed mx-5 or just a suped up miata - one of the best test drives i've had.
4. tesla roadster - in case i go broke and can't afford gas :p
5. 1997 Nissan 200SX SE-R...probably with some decent mods but not riced - it's my first car :D
6. Corvette ZR1 - not complete without one
7. lotus elise or exige with slight modification (probably exige) - they're just so cool
8. lamborghini reventon - doesn't need much explaining :p
9. a benz...not sure on which yet
10. koenigsegg ccxr - afaik, it received the fastest speeding ticket in the US. wouldn't be fair if i beat that record with a different car ;)

* subject to change. i'm about to sleep and it's 7 a.m.
