Denmark wins fourth World Championship gold in a row

Denmark's handball players have impressively confirmed their status as the best team in the world and won their fourth World Championship title in a row. The all-powerful team led by world handball player Mathias Gidsel won the emotional and tumultuous final against Croatia 32:26 (16:12) on Sunday and is now unbeaten in 37 World Championship games.

I suggest that any disagreements between US an Denmark should be settled by a match of handball. 😛

I wish we could settle our difference with other nations with games rather than blood.
Instead, <POLITICS THAT DO NOT BELONG IN OT>

Peace and love to all you Danes. Stay safe. Stay strong.

Just a joke, it's the only sport that Denmark is consequently good at 😛 (Although the Womens side is dominated by Norway). Also it was also invented in Denmark.

Seems less than exciting, but to each his own.
It is fast paced and lots of goals, would expect it to do well i US. But obviously you would have to know what to look for to enjoy the game.

IHF is trying to do a US promotion.

Mikkel Hansen, Stine Oftedal, Estavana Polman, and Nikola Karabatic are leading figures in an ambitious initiative to bring professional handball to the United States through the Pro Handball USA project. This venture aims to establish a professional handball league in the U.S. by 2028, with plans to host an annual summer tournament featuring top European clubs starting in 2026. The first tournament is set to take place in Las Vegas.

Handball is an Olympic sport, was last summer Olympics IIRC. So, yes, the US would have a handball team. It's considered very watchable! I watched some Olympics handball games last Olympics.

Congratulations, Denmark!
