I hate Comcast. The worst part about them is their lies about satellite TV. "The wind blows, the signal goes out. My dog sneezes, the signal goes out. I have to adjust the dish twice a week." That's not true you lying, son-of-a-bitch. The execs deserve to be anally raped by a bull elephant.

It's called exaggeration, dumbass. But they're not that far from the truth. My gf used to have satelite, and a heavy rain storm was enough to knock out signal.

that usually only happens when the dish isn't mounted right, the only signal interuption I've had over the past 4 years with my dish500 was for about 15min. during all those dasm solar flares we had last year. previously with all the other cable companies I've used, my average down time has been about an hour per month. for one reason or another (weather, drunks hitting the telco poles, etc.) It really depends on where you live....btw if I had comcast available in my area, I'd probably switch to them just because the have higher speed broadband than my sbc dsl. :)

Not a bad idea. But even then. If the dish isn't mounted right, who's fault is that? For whatever reason, cable seems to be more stable. I've never had an outage with cable tv in 2.5 years. In that same time frame, I've seen two outages for cable internet with AT&T/Comcast. Both were less than a day. One happened when I first got my service and the second just last night. The kind of speeds I want with DSL aren't nearly within my budget, though (high upload). :(

It will definitely have to go thru regulatory approval.
