Comcast keeps calling me... EVERY DAY

So, I keep waking up or checking my phone to see that I am getting a phone call from some 720-325-2640 phone number or some variation of the sort.

I want to kill them. Kill them with fire. It happened a couple times and I picked up once but got nothing but silence... so I hung up. Then it happened more than once.. and I thought, "Did I give my phone number to someone I met from Colorado...? It's entirely possible. A lot of people have my number now... yikes." Looked up the number. Apparently it's comcast.

Anyway to stop these fuckers from calling me? I changed my contact phone number that comcast has after paying my bill online today. I don't think that will end it though. It's fucking annoying. And from what I hear, AT&T isn't going to just block phone numbers unless there's a legal reason.

You could try answering it. And then, you know, telling them to stop. Alternately, call 1-800-comcast and figure out why you are getting repeated calls at your number.

Also, were you late with your bill? Because that's a pretty good reason for them to call you. Also explains why you wouldn't want to answer...

Tell them you don't live there anymore. Make sure you say it like this:

"Oh I'm sorry, he does not live here anymore"

And not

"Oh I'm sorry, I do not live here anymore"

It might work. Then they'll ask what service you have and try to sell you it, and tell them you don't use Internet and don't even have a computer.

They might possibly stop.

I had this construction supply company that kept trying to send me spam fax flyers. I got fed up and hooked up a fax machine so next time I get that call I can just receive the fax instead of answering. Got their email and phone number and told them to stop and after a few months they actually did. So sometimes that actually does work. Other times it makes it worse as it acknowledges that you are getting those calls and that the number exists but most of the time it's still worth a shot.

Pretty sure it's a robot or something.

Nope. I'm early with the bills if anything.

This.

I had that problem with LA Fitness...even though I told him that several times (kept getting woken up in the middle of the day). I stopped by his desk and dropped off a printout of the Arizona telephone harassment statute.

Haven't heard a word since. :awe:

Looks like its just a telemarketing place contracted by Comcast.

I've gotten similar calls (not sure from who, but from Colorado numbers). Its likely a wardialer that calls you and why you just get silence, they're checking to see if the number is used and to force you to have to call them (as then they can likely claim they aren't doing unsolicited marketing as you call them before they'll pitch their sell).
