Comcast Digital Silver + HBO and Comcast Internet for $60.00 / month

This is the deal I got in on last time, but when my Digital package promo ran out, I dropped down to the standard package. Can you give us some details, OP? I'd love to finagle my way back into HBO on this deal. Even though DirectTV has a much crisper picture, I don't watch enough tv to care.

How much are the damn fees, taxes, surcharges on top of the $60? Probably another $10 I'm guessing.

This is still a killer deal though, saving around $30/mo.

I had Comcast cable and broadband at one time... wanted Tivo and asked about the Comcast DVR. They couldn't tell me when it would come out in my area (Portland, OR), so I switched to DirecTV/Tivo and kept Comcast broadband. Satellite and Tivo are a little cheaper than cable was, but the broadband went up $10/mo... give and take.

I absolutely LOVE Tivo, and the $5/mo. for the service with DirecTV is pretty cheap... but this deal is pretty nice. Still don't know anything about the Comcast DVR and when it will come to my area, so I would have to look in to buying a standalone Tivo unit if I want one (I do) with this deal. Then, Tivo monthly fee of $12... still come out on top, in a way.

*thinking...*

I called and she she told me that I might be able to jump on a current promotion if I cancel my service and setup new service in my wife's name. Current promotion up here is basic digital at regular price (~65.00) and HBO/Showtime/Cinemeax for free. Didn't hear of any deals with the cable modem/tv service which sucks since i currently have both 🙁

here's how i got the deal.

i got it as a Dish Buyback from Comcast. if you can get a hold of some old Dish equipment for free, than comcast will do a Dish Buyback.

the offer used to be $400.00 back over 16 months ($25.00 / month credit for Digital Cable). this is actually a much better deal as i get Digital Cable Silver package AND Comcast Internet for $60.00 plus taxes etc. but still as rossman says, a pretty good deal. especially if you are going to use vonage and get rid of your telephone, than's it's a Major sweet deal.

Although we are not currently certified for Tivo, we have experienced an
extremely high success rate placing such calls and anticipate full
certification within 30-60 days. Each situation varies, and the best way
to determine with your service provider is to try our 30-day no risk trial
which is detailed on our website.

Thank you for your interest in BroadVoice.

I'm in CA; it worked for me last year. The deal I got was 19.99 for broadband for 6 months and $400. credit ($25 per month) for 18 months. I stacked it with another promo for the Digital Gold package, but that ran out after 3 months. In total I paid about 75. per month for the Digital Gold and HSI. Now, I have the expanded basic and internet for $67. including taxes, etc. Not great, but much cheaper than what we were paying for DirectTV and SBC/Yahoo dsl.

Now I just need a deal for MLB to get Dodger games... anybody got one? 😉

where do you live that you found this deal?

Last time I talked to comcast all they offered me was basic cable (local channels only I guess) + hsi for $50 a month .....

only thing is in boston it would seem they never found a way to block the signals going into the apartments because I already get regular cable for free 😛

Ive wanted to upgrade to digital cable tho, so expensive....wonder if this deal available in boston area

Sounds like a great deal.. My promo for 29.99 internet just ran out and I have basic cable so I am paying about $84 a month(and basic means NO cable box)... 🙁

Not bad if you can keep that price, Comcast deal in ATL (no deal, really) is $89 for expanded basic and HSI, taxes and all.

Ehhhh... ok. I decided to just check on this deal, just to see if it was something I REALLY wanted to do or not.

I'm at work, dial the number I see on the Comcast Northwest webpage:

http://comcastnw.com/digital_video.htm

It says "You've already bought a dish? No problem. We'll give you $400 in programming credits to ditch it* Call 1-800-DISH-OUT"

Anyone tried that number? I'm only asking because... it sounds like a pRoN number! I'm at work, tried it twice, and the first few seconds are a woman's voice stating she's pulling off her bra and panties... I mean, THANKS COMCAST and all, but I'm at work!!!

Someone call this number for me and check it before I go back on speaker phone!
