Just a heads up but for current comcast customers with comcast cable service, their offering $19 a month for 6 months on the 12 meg download plan. And if you don't have their cable services but use comcast internet they'll give it to you for $29 for 6 months 🙂 I just did it myself....Although the $29 a month plan is only for 8 megs down, but its still about $30 less than what I'm paying now..

Also remember that after your "promotion plan" is up, the regular reps won't put you on another promotion (Technically 6 month waiting period), but*

If you call back a few times you will eventually find a rep that doesn't care and will..

or*

Call back and ask to speak to retention say these words "I was speaking to a supervisor and he was trying to transfer me to retention and I got cut off"

Off ya go, tell the retention desk that the supervisor you were speaking too said you could get on another promotion and bam, you got another promotion 🙂

Also, if you don't have HBO or any of the specialty channels, check every other week, they usually have a ton of "get HBO and premium channels free for 12 months" deals.

bleh, I pay $60 per month for 1.5MB/s DSL service. 🙁

Wow. where are you Europe?

I live in very rural Virginia, I suppose I'm lucky even to have any options at "high speed". In fact, my house is at 19985 feet out of a maximum DSL range of 20000. 🙂

Funny thing is, around here people have been so used to dial up forever, they gladly shell out the $60++ for DSL. I don't suppose it'll get better any time soon, there is zero competition with my ISP.
