I think most people who hate Comcast have lingering rage from the early 2000's when they were still sucking.

I've had Comcast for years (at home and at work) and have really never had any problems.

For those that asked, it's $200/mo for 50/10.

I have Comcast. I can show you similar speed test. I still think running speed test and showing them online is stupid.

It's like saying "hey, my car can do 200 mph!". But in reality you never drive faster than 80 in it. Yawn.

ummm, yes you do see those numbers ... I have proof. I also have the 50MB DOCSIS 3 from comcast.

I see these numbers going to/from my servers, STEAM, MS, etc. There are real world applications for US ISP's to have 50MB-100MB+ connections.

ViviTheMage - I understand you're going to hit it one off in a couple of places, but for the majority of is you will never see 7MBps download speeds from normal places. And posting it online is still fucking stupid. I've gotten a Z06 up to 170mph, but I don't go around telling people "My z06 will do 200mph!!" and posting it for no damn reason. It's nothing but e-penis. That's my point.

Not to mention this is posted in the wrong forums anyway. 🙂

Uh, how so? I've saturated my 35Mbps connection at home easily, why would 57 be all that unrealistic?

I can easily go download a bunch of crap and show you it hitting 5-7MB/s again ... it's daily now, servers aren't bottlenecked as much as they used to be.

I am showing you that it is possible, and telling you this happens daily, I like it.

Relating internet download speeds to going 200mph in a car is kind of silly....that is like comparing olds basement/dungeon to these guy's basements :
