Are you cloning your computers netcard MAC ID into the router?

i tried power cycle the modem, then turn the router on, and finally connect the comp to the router, it still doesnt work.

My Netgear FM114P is always getting disconnected, and MOST of the time a power cycle fixes it, but its really annoying.

never had any issues with my Linksys WRT54G (which i sold on FS/FT awhile back) or new Airlink 108 mbps wireless router...pretty much stock out of the box except for the wireless security stuff (WPA and disable SSID etc...)

As others have already said, this sounds like you need to clone your MAC address (from the computer that works when directly connected into the cable) to your router.

I've seem lots of people post that you don't need to do this with Comcast, but I can assure you that I do here (in SW Washington) where Comcast bought AT&T who bought @Home. There seem to be a lot of different set-ups out there.

Clone it!

it looks like one of my computer is infected with something. because without the infected computer connected to the router, all the computers can get on the net fine. when the infected computer connects to the router, theres no internet for any of the computers.
