Comcast $19.95/Month HSI Deal

I took the same offer last year but after the offer is over, ComCrappy gets even and I started paying $130/mo just for Cable TV and Internet! Unfortunately, they have the monopoly on cable TV and Internet where I live. I'd like to switch to DirecTV but they do not have internet cable only DSL on a landline phone. So it does not really do me any good to switch.

Works in Maine for people who used to be Suscom. I had to correct the CSR once as initially she set it up for 3 months, but it is ll set now.

Well, I got my cable set up when they were having a special on the second best tier for cable. HD was an extra $5. HD DVR was free with special. Internet was always $20 with a free modem. If you call and see what the specials are before, then you're gonna get them. Even if they're for 6 months, just call in 6 months and sign up for a new special.

Bleh, I called twice, the first CSR was a no go at all (says new customers/3rd party promo), the second CSR offered me $10 off/month for 3 months, I guess I'll take that. Paying just over $100/month for HD Cable/6mb HSI right now, at least I'm using them for VOIP over SunRocket...

i was paying 60 bux per month for internet n basic basic cable from comcast.

with me downloading, comcast forced me to pay more $$$ n threatened to terminate my service. so... with all that speed, its pretty much useless. n their newsgroup cap at 2gb. want more? pay more! i was able to bargain to get it down to 50 bux per month for internet n tv. but thats no where near verizon's dsl deal.

so i returned everything back, even the tv box. the cs was so shocked. i musta been the first person to return the box or something. lol. cause all the others were there to get a replacement or upgrade unit.

I called and got the deal, I live near Detroit, MI. When I called the lady had to look for the deal for about 8 minutes then found it and is pro-rating my bill for this month too.

Alexandria, VA - called the 1-800 (then local phone/#3/#2). After the CSR had me on hold for 5 minutes or so she came on and said they switched me over to the $19.95 until the end of the year.

Took 10 minutes.

Isn't this the normal promotion? 19.99 for six months for NEW customers (no account for the last 120 days)? if you are lucky and already have cable, you can get the a cs person who will just give you teh deal, but most will just say new customers only.

The best possible deal for Comcast cable TV can occur if you are moving, even across town. Go to the closest Starvation Army and for $20, buy any old DirecTV box. Call Comcast and ask about their "Dump Your Dish" special. The prices are killer. Tell them you took down the dish and just hadn't thrown out the box. I've had great results, saving something like $25/month for 16 months. And, of course, they offered great intro rates on HBO packages.

Also, I've got Comcast Digital Cable, but Earthlink/Comcast High-Speed Internet. So I couldn't get the rentention deal from Comcast. However, Earthlink did drop me to $29.95 for three months. After that, I'll probably be moving anyway....

I gave it a try but with no luck. I then asked about their 8MB 768 service and he gave me that for that same price I have now for six months-$42.95. So all is not lost and I really like the faster upload speeds (use Remote Desktop every day).
