Whoohooo! Thanx OP. Im good for the next 6 months. I can say this works in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When I first called, the representative looked through her codes and found only a 4 month discount. I actively listened as she tried to sell me one of their all-in-one packages, and then she "somehow" managed to locate the 6 month deal. Just be polite and courteous as you would be if you were talking to one of your mother's friends and you should be able to get the deal as well.

Well congrats maximus... I get about the same thing for about $130 a month =/

I do have an additional cable box (a bit extra) and the 8MB service instead of the 6 (a bit extra) but it shouldn't be THAT much extra...

Anyway, I just called and they said the promo was for customers who have cable TV but not internet... so no go

with 8mb i get about 1.03 megabyte/sec sustained download according to DU meter

With power boost i can speedtest download at about 18-20mbits/sec down

upload is 768kbps sustained. powerboost its 1.5mbits up

Note, powerboost only lasts about 2 minutes for my download and about 2 minutes for my upload.

I just called 1-800-COMCAST, option 3 - 2, and was told by the CSR that the offer was not for existing customers.

There was a post regarding that, calling back a few times may get you a rep with half a brain. :)

I have that deal, what he isn't telling you I think he does too. It's $39.95 for digital with hbo/starz for 12 months and $19.95 internet for 6 months.

It's a current offer for DISH customers to switch.

I am happy to report it is working in New Mexico. I have 6 Mbs broadband service with Comcast. When I called, after they took all of the information about my account etc., they informed me there was no such promo for existing customers in this area. I did the usual thing and called back and got a different CSR -- but the same answer. I didn't try a third time and just figured I was out of luck. A few hours later a lady called me from Comcast asking if I had called about the promo and gave me a phone number for the promo department at Comcast and a Confirmation number. I called, gave them the confirmation number and will have my bill reduced from around $45 for the broadband component to $19.95 for the rest of the year. That is a savings of over $150.

Thanks mrphones. It isn't everyday you get $150 for nothing.

Saw this over at Fat Wallet.

First Time I called 880 # and connect to upgrading/adding features .
Rep told me she could not find the promo offer and asked me to email her a copy.
Secont time I called 800 # and connect thru "billing inquires". Recording said that I could participate in survey after call by hitting **. Was placed on hold for over 35 minutes, finally hit ** and and responded 1 (very dissatisfied) to all questions.

Nothing like ComCrappy service. :| :| :| :|
