That's proof that Comcast is still way behind on speed when compared to Optimum Online (Cablevision). I've had those speeds for at least 3 years already. Glad to see that Comcast is getting faster.

I remember comcast being godly in chicago for the short period my mom had it.

We got 12Mbit/sec down and ~2mbit up for $44 a month, then because its "the same" she switched to some no name $5 a month "bundled with your cable" value provider.

Shes lucky to get 200k, and gaming is impossible. It goes out daily for random periods.

Pay attention to quality of service. If it's real low and your download speed starts way over 6.6 or 8.8 Mbps depending on your tier traffic shaping is not enabled on your head end. that test is crap. i got "389 kbps" then tested on DSL Reports and got "4111 kbps," which is consistent with what I can actually download. Bit of a difference. if they don't have the bandwidth to run tests, they shouldn't claim to run them.

Well that test always maxes out whatever interface we use. Trace to the test site. Don't blame the test site because your ISP uses a provider that may have an overloaded router.
