I've searched Google, Froogle, Pricewatch, Ebay etc.

Found some announcements from Intersil dated 2002 about a new chipset that supported 802.11b and Bluetooth in one chip.

Found lots of press releases and even a product page from Smart Modular Technologies.

Can't find a SINGLE PRODUCT for sale.

Anyone know where to buy it?? Ideally MiniPCI card to install in my laptop but PCMCIA would be fine too.

Bluetooth is basically the modern version of the Infra Red Remoter control. It can be used in Networking but the combination of what it can do and price made it a Network ?Dead Duck? at the starting gate.

Once the major brands realized that it is not going to gain a serious foot hold in the market they quietly gave up and did not deliver.

This is en example of what is available.

D-Link BlueTooth.

Well I already have bluetooth usb adapter(s). But I was hoping to get integrated bt plus wifi-g to upgrade the minipci wifi-b card in my laptop(s). Then I could use my bt mouse without the usb adapter etc.

But it seems like that's not going to happen without buying a new laptop... Oh well.
