combining queues from different machines

Is there any rocket science to combining setiqueues running on two different machines into just one?

or is it as simple as copying all WU's from one machine to the other while both queues are turned off.

In this case, it might be better to pick one queue to be the "master" and configure the one you want to get rid of, to only upload results to that master until the to-be-discarded queue is out of WUs. Then point all client machines to the "master". Since Setiqueue does this whole unique WU numbering scheme, it might be easier doing it that way rather than putzing with the ini files.

Sometimes the easiest answers are the hardest to find!

Thanks Poof, in typical male fashion I was trying to find a brut force method.

LOL@Cakin! 😛

I think doing anything with Setiqueue ends up being done by brute force... 😉

I've found slapping my monitor on the right side near the bottom helps it start receiving new WUs. 🙂

To send I just tap the top of the monitor. 🙂

But not with brute force. 😀

You can cascade them from two machines easily, set one to go to berkeley, and the other to use the other machine. When you're ready to seperate them, you can take the one directly to Berkeley down, then point the other directly to Berkeley 🙂

/me drinking😱
