Combining laptop pc with desktop pc

Hi,

I just got a new laptop and was wondering if it would be possible to combine the cpu power and RAM memory of a laptop with a desktop computer somehow to make the desktop stronger?

Thanks

Short answer: For most people in most situations, no.

Long answer: Yes, if you set them up in a cluster (like a Beowulf cluster), but that only works for applications specifically designed to be run on multiple machines and it really doesn't have much if any benefit with only two computers.
