Seems like they threw a bit of COD4 in there too with the weapon customization. The graphics didn't seem that bad either. However the fact that they advertised "Free Online Play" has me worried. Are there any FPS based shooters out there that are not free? It's like one of their selling points is "Well, sure it might not be great, but you can play it online for free."

Have to watch and see how this one does.

do you have to buy the game or is the game free? i was under the impression the game was free and thats what they meant.

Planetside. Arguably an MMOFPS at one point, debatable now.

it's a Nexon game, I'm sure it will be 100% free unless you want to get the good weapons/mods. Their other games are all the same, free for basic play, you need the nexon cash crap to customize your character and get the best stuff. Graphically it looks a lot better than Maple Story I wanna try this

I just played it. For being free, it's decent, however any real FPS will outclass it. You start with some basic gear and money, and you get money every round. With the money, you get to purchase weapons, clothes, backpacks, grenades, scopes, and the like, but only for a certain period of time. It ranged from 1 day to 90 days. There is also a "premium" tab, which i assume is for the money-payers, but is grayed out for the beta.

As for the game play, it is a copy of counterstrike basically. It has slight imbalances, and spawn camping is common. The graphics look decent for a free game, better than soldier of fortune payback in any case. However, the game is nothing to write home about, and I un-installed it shortly. If it's your only/first FPS, then its decent, however any "Real" FPS is better. Then again, it IS free, so just give it a try. You might think differently than me.

I just downloaded it last night and am having fun with it. It takes longer to die compared with CS or AA so I'm all about that. It won't keep my attention for more than a few weeks though.

Played a few hours last night with my FPS clan, I prefer the pace of this game compared to COD4. It plays like Day of Defeat: Source set in modern times, best way that I can describe it. Oh and the multiplayer interface feels a bit like Kali.

I've been having a blast with this game..bought a case and got a xm90 or whatever shotgun that was unbelievable! Too bad it was only for a day though This is my hold over game until Fallout 3 gets released and I don't leave the house for a week.

I started playing this a few days ago, good stuff. I actually like it more than CSS or CoD4, it feels a lot like a faster paced BF2 without all the point capping nonsense, vehicles, and giant maps. The spawning system could definitely use some reworking though, I also wish it were possible to switch weapons and teams mid game without having to exit and re-enter.
