Com Surrogate message using Vista Ultimate

Everytime time I am searching through my video files stored on my D: drive this "COM Surrogate" message pops up telling me it's failed. I can still watch these videos and everything else functions correctly and as soon as I close my video folder it goes away. Does anyone else have this problem and can it be fixed and how? Please and Thank You.
