Well, he has a point. What Hitler did was an attrocity, but it pales in comparison to what the Spaniards did with the Inquisition and the Conquest of the Americas. Yep...as a kid, I would read kiddie books about him and how great he was for discovering America and all that. The population numbers of the "natives" were declining rapidly by time Columbus came to the new world, their numbers were alot lower by time major settling occured. And Im sorry, a 150 year genocide? The indians werent an innoccent party either.

My last post has to do with my first one: that too many people don't know their own history. It's not "whining," the original poster was trying to inform people about what truly happened. Only dumbasses like you either don't know it, try to justify it, or just try to ignore what Columbus did. If you like to wallow in ignorance, be my guest. Columbus did a lot of killing but, as with many things in history, the truth has been bastardized into something ridiculous that too many of the ignorant masses simply couldn't care less about.

And even if the natives were going to exterminate themselves (not saying they were), it doesn't mean it's ok for columbus to speed it along. That's just silly.
