We'll be done with drywalling soon and most likely over break we'll be painting the walls. We could do the same color as the rest of the house, but we'd like some other combinations as well that you all have or have seen in basements. Pictures help too if you have any.

The brighter the better, for many reasons.

My workshop is PINK.

Thats right PINK.

It was that way when we moved in and I have no desire to move everything to paint.

Black won't do, too dark. Sea Green? I dunno, haven't ever seen one like that or Purple. Have any examples?

Evadman: I think we'll be keeping it to lighter colors, thanks :D

Stick with all black. Listen to Nine Inch Nails. Call your basement the "Painkeep".

I'm doing my whole apartment too next month, before and after pics will be posted later...

I would advise all white trim with earth tones everywhere else.
Light brown, tan paint.. and apply brown speckled stuff over it afterwards with those funky sponges or just splatter it if you're artistic.

Window trim can be dark color, whatever matches your furniture

You can stencil some plants on the wall and have fun with it.
If there is a bathroom, hunter green is nice, with white trim.

In your bedroom, do a squiggly wiggly pattern on the ceiling (assuming it's drywalled and not a dropped one).. girls will like it but it will give you nightmares. hehe :) j/k
