colormeters?

I was thinking about getting a colormeter after seeing there were a couple models that weren't too expensive. My question is which should I get? Newegg has both the Spyder and the Huey. People here seem to say that the Huey stinks but the Spyder is pretty good for the price. while on a linked UK review site they say pretty much the opposite.

Also, can either of these devices be used to calibrate a plasma display panel that is hooked up to a HTPC (and can they also be used to manually calibrate the display using its OCD menu?)

May also want to look at the prices for used higher end models on ebay to see how they compare
