Colored Shrimp chips and Kiss of the Dragon

There's a scene in this movie where Jet Li is eating dinner. It looks like it only consists of rice and colored shrimp chips. Bridget Fonda's character also eats some and Jet Li gives her 3 bags of those chips.

Here's what I found confusing. I have never seen any dinner consisting of only rice and colored shrimp chips. The only time I've ever have them is on special occassions (Chinese New Year, birthdays etc) and they're almost used as decorations -- not as a main course. So to me that scene was odd.

<< Thereds,

And the matrix was completely realistic........

Isn't that what the movie was trying to accomplish?

Yea, they could have at least used standard movie sterotypes like Chop Suey (Still have no damn clue what that stuff is) and "Flied Lice"

I'm fairly certain Chop Suey is supposed to be just about anything you have laying around, not anything in particular at all.

yea i found it kinda odd that jet li was eating just rice. I'm chinese and i dunno wtf was up with that. Guess they took a long time to shoot it and got lazy and cheap.. put out food that wouldn't spoil.
