Color to paint

What color should I paint my room? Maybe multiple colors. Unfortunately I cannot paint the trim, and it is a mid-light tone of brown/orange/tan. (It's the natural wood color according to my mother)

I'm looking online and I am not sure what color... I like a lot of these "inspiration rooms." Wish my room was big as many of the rooms they show off though...

I'm thinking of brighter colors, but am not sure of it. I am thinking of a neutral type color, but don't know what. I want my room to look really nice when I am done. It would seem that a neutral type brown/tan/gray-ish colour would work.

So paint your fucking bedroom ecru or something.

Brown, tan, and gray sound like really bright colors -- at least according to your left testicle. I wonder if your right testicle is more adventurous. But, of course, your testicles' choice depends on your parents' dollar.
