Color Problems!!!

My monitor color switches sometimes to a greenish tint, but when the "monitor self test" comes up then the colors look the same, so i am guessing it isnt the monitor, i cleaned out the conecter and port, so i am pretty sure its a hardware problem....... Do you agree? Do you know how to fix it? Software problem perhaps.(i doubt it.)?
 
sounds like there is a short in the video cable possibly...

sometime when it changed colors, try physically moving the cable around to see if that rids it for the time being.
