Color coding for SB live! value?

Does anybody know which color means what in the color-coded inputs/outputs on the SB Live? I don't know whether or not my line-in is working or if I'm just doing something wrong. Because of the size of the plugs, I can't plug my speakers and the input beside it at the same time either, so how can I know if it's working?
