My understanding is that the candles have a sensor at the bottom. The candle will burn down like any other candle. Just above bottom, however, the sensor detects the flame and the candle goes out. At that point, do what you would with any other candle. (it's environmentally friendly-don't worry about just throwing it away).

Are these the same candles sold at Vromans Bookstore in Pasadena, CA? I remember seeing something like these and was wondering if its the same. If so, I can save on shipping.

Not sure if Luna has candles in that particular store or not but can find out. Depending on their prices, the "forumers" redeemable code might be a better option.

Got my order today....seem pretty nice....

I wonder how long the battery for the LED lasts....it would be cool to use the light element afterwards (and get some new candles.)
 
The LED lasts 50 hours. Basically you should get about 50 hours of color changing feature.

The candle itself is powered by 2 lithium batteries that you never need to replace.

To maximize LED life, please keep the candle out of intense light. The sensor gets triggered by the light of the flame. If you shine bright light on the candle (flashlight, etc). The candle might turn on and change colors.

We usually suggest to store it in a darker environment when not in use.

Any stores in SE michigan that sell these (adrian, jackson, ann arbor, saline, etc)? How about some pictures of these candles (like the heart shaped one) in a real life setting.

I received my candles yesterday. I tried one out and it works great. My girl loves them (they were a gift for her). So thanks to LunaMan and his crew for helping score some brownie points! heh.
 
I got my candles within a few days of ordering. Still in the box, so I can't give a proper review until Valentines Day.

I am pleased with the purchase so far though. Only oddity was, my wife came home, and checked the caller id to see if any of her friends called (her friends dont leave messages, so she checks caller id almost every day), and she asked me who "Luna Candle" was. I wonder why they tried to call me the day I placed my order.

Oh well, got my candles, no hassles or problems, so alls well so far. 🙂

I ordered 3 candles 1 heart one and 2 in the frosted glass. 1 of the frosted glass ones arrived broken. I knew it before opening the box as I could hear glass rattling inside.
 
Actually Cameleon Candle of Switzerland are the creaters of this particular type of candle. The Chinise stole the idea and are flooding the market with the product...
 
Went on the Cameleon website. $22.00!!!!!! for a candle only good for 10-12 hours? If those guys were the "real" inventors, why is their price so much higher? Are these candles much bigger than what LunaMan is offering?

Just a quick note about chameleon candle. I personally don't know who they are but I can say that on the research I?ve done, Luna has more variety as well as LED chips that last 50 Hours. Candles will burn between 25 to 60 hours but the LED chips will last 50 hours.

We do hold an international patent for this product so I cannot imagine how someone else could of invented this and not patented it in this day and age.

Then again, this is just my opinion.
