I've had several and that has been the case with each. I did wake up a couple times during the procedure and remember seeing the video monitor for a few seconds before zonking back out.

I have no idea what it is, but it's not a colonoscopy.

The prep for colonoscopy is a 24 hour ordeal in which laxatives and colon cleansers are used to completely clear the entire digestive system of any solids or semi solids and leaves one with only clear fluid in their system.

One is also usually asleep when a colonoscopy is performed, and is lying on their side with their knees bent up.
