the op seems to infer that cocaine is used in the energy drink, but in actuality coca plant is far from it. Coca plant by itself is like taking a shot of expresso coffee.

I think the Indians chew coca leaves during breaks from work. It takes Western ingenuities to make it stronger in crystallized form.
