Get over yourself, $10 is enough for what you do. I get $7.45/hour as a tech consultant in the computer lab.

<< ...as is your spelling; how much did you say you make again? :) >>

Please Helpless, all misspellings in my edit were purely intentional. I do know how to spell the word grammar and obviously my sarcasm went straight over your head. I am sure once I aquire my engineering degree it will make up for what my pay lacks now. Thanks for your concern though.

I deliver pizzas. In my restaurant, I make from $15-22 per hour, most of it cash. Gas for my Civic is about $4-7 per night. It's a good deal for somebody who likes driving and hates working for living. Bad drivers will crash into you occasionally, and I got to see the aftermath of a high speed police chase one night. The fvcking thug Eminem-ass criminal killed a man visiting from Iowa by running a stop sign across a busy through street.

Overall, it?s the uber student job. I won?t do this forever, but it sure will be hard to work for a corporation in an office, especially since I am likely to take a major hourly pay cut and I?ll probably be required to work 5 days a week. I currently only work 3 nights a week. I guess I'll just have to start my own business.

EDIT: I can't use that thread-default angry icon when I'm not.

I work as a surgical technician, salary is around $14 a hour but with my paid "on call" time plus overtime and call back pay it averages out to $17 plus a hour

<< Now, my rant is that I think I make WAY TOO LITTLE for a college student. >>

Umm, get real, your in school, you should not make over 10/hr.
You have no documented skills, no degree and nothing to prove your worth more then 10 bucks/hr to anyone.

Take what you can get and don't be a spoiled kid.

When I was in college I made min. wage working for an ISP. It sucked.

But now that I've graduated, I make $25/hr. :)

I work full time & go to school part time, I currently make $12.75. After my two raises in the next two months I'll be over $14, possibly as high as $14.70.

<< I'm a sophmore @ Univ. of Mass. Lowell. And I make $10 an hour for campus workstudy.

Now, my rant is that I think I make WAY TOO LITTLE for a college student. Two of my friends.. one makes $15 an hour working at a bank (he goes to Boston Univ.) and another makes about $17 an hour as a secretary at some law firm.

$10 an hour, I wouldn't complain too much. But this is campus work-study to pay off my tuition. During summer, I really have NO job but to probably work at Gap or something for $7 an hour..

How much do you college kids make??? Do you have an internship? I need to get one, and how can I get one?!?!?

when I was an undergrad, the ONLY available workstudy was about $4.30 and hour... this was only a few years ago

I worked my ass off (like 50 hours a week) for roughly 1 year before college and saved most of it so I could not only concentrate on my studies but also have some fun....so I don't work during college. I'm only going to work during the summer (beginning of May til end of August).

When I was in my junior and senior year I worked as technical intern getting paid $18/hr. Now that I have graduated and stayed with that same company, I am getting ~1.5 as much, they are also gonna pay for my mba, good stuff I tell ya!

I sell stuff on eBay and on average I probably make about $100/hour (but I only work like 15 minutes a day since I don't sell much right now). $10 sounds really good for a work study pay. The people that I know that have campus jobs make around $7/hour.
