If you think you've got a cruddy campus job, work at your college newspaper for a while, then you'll see how under appreciated you are

.
I made approx. $400/month working at my campus paper as their online editor (and that was after working for 3 years...made $350 before) and I spent nearly 30 hours a week there...roughly $3.50 an hour (and I was higher paid than some folks there).
Why did I do it? The same reason most people work at their college newspaper: They love it, and it's a GREAT resume item to work at a daily paper. I could've made a ton more money (and been much less stressed) working at McDonalds. Hell, the minimum wage in Oregon is $6.50 now (and they considered our pay a "tuition stipend" which was exempt from minimum wage laws).
Regardless, though, it got me into a job immediately after I graduated that pays the bills quite nicely
