COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY, How much Do you Make an Hour??

I'm a sophmore @ Univ. of Mass. Lowell. And I make $10 an hour for campus workstudy.

Now, my rant is that I think I make WAY TOO LITTLE for a college student. Two of my friends.. one makes $15 an hour working at a bank (he goes to Boston Univ.) and another makes about $17 an hour as a secretary at some law firm.

$10 an hour, I wouldn't complain too much. But this is campus work-study to pay off my tuition. During summer, I really have NO job but to probably work at Gap or something for $7 an hour..

How much do you college kids make??? Do you have an internship? I need to get one, and how can I get one?!?!?

My degree (5 years) contains 6 mandatory co-op workterms of 4 months each. So I take classes for 4 months, and then work for 4 months, and this keeps alternating for 5 years.

Right now I'm on my 3rd co-op term and I make about $21/hour Canadian. Minimum wage in BC is $7.50. So, this definitely helps with my student loan situation ;)

$10.50 and they're ripping me off and I'm getting sick of it. It's very tempting to move to Oklahoma City or St. Louis, the job market in Springfield SUCKS, while I qualify for LOTS of $15+ jobs in the cities.

Yea, your poll has a certain social bias, too...most people will respond higher than they actually make, so as a number of other people stated, I would take the range up to $100, per say...add a few more sub-groupings, etc, etc... :) ...and for more analysis like this from me, you'll have to pay me +$15/hr :)

<< Poll doesn't go high enough. >>

What world do you live in? Logically speaking, how much "higher" can the poll go than "$15 plus" ???

That is not fair. I know that I personally would not lie. When I was in university I made $195/ hour as a teaching assistant. I got lucky though!

WTF? There is no such thing as making 15+ dollars an on hour on campus as a student worker, at least here anyway. :| Even the more demanding on campus jobs pay less than $7 an hour, I think my university just gets kicks and giggles out of screwing the students any way they can.

I stick with this minimum wage job because it gives me time to do homework while making some extra cash. Beats working fast food or something like that.

Edit: My grammer is shiat. ;)
