College question

Has anyone had any experience with the following:

-I will have 111 credits at the end of this semester (Rutgers-Camden, NJ)
-Got a job offer in DC
-Need to somehow finish last 3 classes.

If I take 3 classes at another school, will I still be able to graduate from Rutgers? If not, can I transfer 111 credits to another school?

I am going to talk to the CS chair tonight, but I wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience with this.

Sorry if this is illegible, I'm really excited.

Thanks.

You should be able to graduate from Rutgers as long as those three other classes are from an accredited school. Check with your registrar's office if your CS Chair isn't helpful.

Congrats!

What 3 classes are they? Major classes? GE?

At the University of California Schools you must take the last 60 units(or whatever number) of major courses at the UC school to earn a degree.

see if they'll extend the job to you once you graduate

I know accounting students who get offered jobs at firms a year before they graduate

Dont most places hire with the understanding that you'll finish school before you actually work for theM?

You need to find out how many upper level credits you can transfer in to rutgers. You probably won't be able to transfer the 111 credits. Most likely you'd lose a number of the credits.

Theres your problem right there...

if it's higher level major courses, doubtful. If it's general education classes (intro to something) then you probably have a chance

It's one major requirement and two anything I want to take classes

Hopefully Rutgers is nice. MSU won't allow you to transfer credit from any school beyond 60 credits. So I'm stuck here until I'm finished. Granted, I'm almost done so it doesn't matter anyways.

If for some strange reason your employer doesn't let you finish your degree, DC is close enough that you could probably skip class, and just drive up for your midterms and finals. You should be able to pass the classes if you're willing to put in a lot of work on your own. Sure, you'll probably get a D, but who cares? You have a job already. If passing and getting the degree is all you care for, this should work. Going to class is only for overachievers, anyway.
