On campus. When I moved off campus junior year I had enough of the dorms but those first two years were also one of the most interesting and exciting times. If you need some quiet time to study, that's what libraries and empty classrooms are for.

Depends on living conditions on. If they are good, stay on. If living off is a huge boost in your quality of life, do that.

Good advice. I lived off campus the entire time and didn't make very many friends in college.

It depends, my grad school housing is actually going to be cheaper than an apartment in the surrounding area. They're normal sized apartments too, not some dorm room.

Live on campus for a year and see if you like it. I personally love having a kitchen and a private bathroom/shower. It's going to be rare to see a dorm room with much more than a sink.
