I disagree. I have a desktop for stuff at the apartment, and a laptop for class and work. I wouldn't have it any other way.

A Love Sac!

Best purchase I've made. I swear, more people comment on my Love Sac than my 2405FPW.

:)

which do u have? i dont have any retail stores near me :(

I've got a 6' (I think it's a Super Sac). My retail store closed down, then had a re-opening sale, so I got the Sac and a corduroy cover for $250.

:D

I am totally buying one of those on my way back to school in the fall. Holy freaking god that is glorious.

Seriously, it's awesome. I'm using it right now for my PC chair because my normal chair broke and I'm too lazy to do anything about it.

The Sac is great for pretty much everything, be it napping, reading, watching movies (can easily fit 3-4 people), even sleeping. WIth the corduroy cover I have, it gets REALLY warm, so I might recommend another cover for warmer climates.

:)

Bring a reasonable amount of well-hidden cash, many places on campus don't take cards.

You're not going to be using that laptop much.

Many schools don't allow hotplates and the like in dorm rooms.

A laptop/desktop is all up to you. I find it easier to just get a decent laptop with a good video card, that way I can still play games, but I can take it anywhere on campus.

You should rent a hooker for a week to impress your roomates. Have really loud sex everynight and tell them it is your girlfriend. Then when she leaves tell them you dumped her--all the chicks will dig you and the guys will hold you in awe.

looking back, i wouldnt bring as much as I did. I had a checklist from Target or something and brought 3/4 of that stuff. Turns out I didnt use most of it cause I was hardly ever in my room. Atleast coordinate with your roommate so you dont bring 2 of stuff (TVs, etc)

my advice: bring clothes, laptop, toiletries, essentials and then buy/bring other stuff that you need or want later. Cause you accumulate a bunch of crap throughout the year as well.

Laptop to class? Nobody does it. Everyone thinks it's a nice idea, but then you end up just playing games all class or IM'ing people. Just don't go to class instead. It's what I did.

Ahh.. college.
