I'm posting this here with mod approval. This is a legit job posting for the Snohomish PUD. Here is a link to the posting.

It's a little late so there are only 3 days left to submit a resume. If you are a 2nd or 3rd year student applying again in the fall please apply.

You can PM me for further information about the position, or I can give you my number so we can talk in person.

Also please PM me if you do submit a resume so I can request it from our ER department.

The fact that you have to state mod approval makes me doubt you have it. Either way, how is this a general hardware topic?

As a public utility we have a hard time attracting CS students for some reason. We get a ton of engineering students applying for these positions but basically zero CS.

I'm honestly just desperate for applicants. We have a big project looming but budget cuts are in effect, so the only help our department can expect is with an intern.

It's sad that there are so many spammers that a real posting like mine is getting nothing but doubt. I don't know what else to do that could prove that this is legit. I'm volunteering to call live and talk to people if they have concerns, and that's about that best I can think of.

Well, you might get a more appropriate finding of people if you went to the Programming area.

It's for building and deploying computers. And we don't have to have someone who is a CS student, but those in a CS program will get better pay. It's a government internship so the rules are a bit byzantine.

Wouldn't you rather have a IT/Networking student over a CS student for the provisioning of hardware? Most of the CS guys I know are a bit dense in the hardware department and rely on the mathematics/programming side of things.

If I lived in the WA area I'd apply, but a Georgia 3rd year student hardly helps you 😛. But that pay makes me drool.
