College got evacuated because of Bomb Threat.

I just got back from an evacuation at my college. Portland Community College (Rock Creek). Around 6 pm i was in the library doing som hw, when the lady comes and tells us to leave the building. We goto the next building which was odd since it was supposed to be a bomb threat. Logically it made no sense, since they told us to goto the next building. My class was in the next building, it started at 6.30 and people started talking about it. Our teacher as usual made stupid jokes and ignored the threat. 15 minutes later cop comes in and evacuates all buildings. It was pretty surprizing that the threat was real. Good thing was that my Lit Midterm got canceled.

Just wanted to share, interesting experiance. Btw on the drive back home there was a 3 car accident cus of the rush, cops were speeding into the school. Never seen a fury cop cars like that.

Never had a bomb threat, but when I was in high school there was a tip that a student had a gun/drugs on them. Everyone was locked in whatever classroom they happened to be in and every bag and locker was searched. That was a fun few hours.

ETA: They never found anything of significance(just the occasional pack cigarettes or can of chew).
 
No bomb threats here, but idiot Grade 8s always like to light fire crackers under smoke detectors. Probably had 3 false fire alarms in 2 weeks
 
This happened 3 weeks in a row @ my college on Monday nights. Must have been somebody late on their term paper.
 
My highschool had a bomb threat in 2001. It was on September 12th. On September 10th, we were informed a teacher had died in her sleep. That week was a tough one for our school.
 
my highschool was run by a bunch of idiots

every time there was a bomb threat threat (this happend a dozen or so times over 4 years) they would do the same thing bring all of us out to the bleachers

if some kid wanted to see a lot of his classmates dead he could just plant the fricken bomb in the bleachers and call in a bomb threat himself and it would be far more effective than

placing it in some random area in the school

a bunch of numbnuts i tell ya
