as many of you probably know, today is the first major day of college football...
this thread is just for that.. post anything about every game here.. frustrations, disapointments, upsets, happiness, great plays, bad calls.. whatever...
 
Penn State v. Akron today @ 3...Paterno went crazy at the pep rally last night, said we would go to the Rose Bowl. I'm just hoping for a winning season...
 
I'm looking forward to it.

I'm also especially happy since my school (a CC) destroyed their opponent on Thursday and the QB set a school record for passing (478 yards).

Wake Forest comes to Clemson at 3:30 today. They embarassed us last year... hoping for a reversal of fortunes this time around.

He said that will be the biggest upset of the day.. Wake Forrest over Clemson...

Yeah, I saw that last night. I'm not so sure it will happen but he does have good reason. They did spank us last year and based on that, it's a possibility. He said a loss will destroy our season and there's no way that's true. A lot of Clemson folks think he's just made about '81 😛

He was just on a few minutes ago from a SportsCenter last night I guess, and his upset pick then was Toledo over Minnesota. What gives, Trev?

yeah, Trev picked Toledo over Minn...
besides that, there's not much chance for a great season for clemson considering their conference got put on steroids with the addition of Miami and VT...

Heh, no, it was Trev. I remember seeing all the posts about it on the Clemson messageboad after he said it 🙂 Why his picks aren't consistent, I don't know.

8-3 before any bowl game should probably be considered a successful season this year for us considering our schedule. @Texas A&M (I do feel a little better about this game after watching their game against Utah, though), @FSU, @Virginia, and @Miami. But you're right, adding Miami and VT to the conference is going to make it tough for us. We were finally looking like we were starting to get back on track, too, heh.

Edit: Herbstreit just said Charlie goes crazy and it's a "big win" for us. At least one analyst is on our side 🙂

For some dumbass reason, the commercials are synchronized, so even if I flip back and forth during a commercial, the other channel has one too 🙁

Come on its the Sunbelt Conference, you dont even have to a winning record to be Sunbelt Champ. No I dont go to UNT. The Sunbelt is a joke, though if they dropped back down to I-AA they would likely dominate.
