College football: Ohio State v. Harvard

XMan

Lifer
You know those Ivy League teams never play anybody good in football . . . and there's good reason. 😉

"And Harvard's quarterback is dropped behind the line again for a loss of 40. Harvard's man there, of course, is Chad Elmhurst. Chad is an Academic All-American at Harvard, majoring in physics with a minor in mathematics - and Bob, they tell me he's actually going to graduate a year early.

Yeah, well, he's not going anywhere right now because he just flattened by big 'Moose' McCauley. 'Moose' is a sixth-year redshirt freshman, majoring in scuba diving. And Bob, there's a nice shot in the stands of his wife and five kids. Yeah. He drives a Lexus."

Especially if it was Colorado or Nebraska! BTW, I heard there was a ground swell to rename Nebraska "Mike Tyson U."

Red, you're just bitter because Nebraska is consistently good. It's not their fault they always win!

And as far as I can remember, the last notable incident involving a Nebraska player was with Lawrence Phillips which was handled very badly, indeed. They aren't all thugs, you know.

Majoring in Scuba Diving, that could be fun. But of course there comes the Job interview.

Employer: So what did you major in college
Me: The art of construction durable storage recepticles out of fiberious polymers in a hazerdous environment
Emploiyer: So you majored in Underwater Basketweaving
Me: Aye

Actually it should of been renamed "Cry Baby U" with all the whining they did after the Orange(?) Bowl in '97.

I heard Stanford's a decent school academically and they always seem to be ranked in the top 25...

Of course, Stanford still sucks....

Unlike Miami?

That's because Nebraskans revere Husker Football Players as Gods and Heros. Most of the crap they do, doesn't get noted. What does get noted is in the Lincoln newspaper that has sugarcoated the incident. Besides, how many people actually buy a Lincoln, NE newspaper?????? Maybe 1,000. The parrots and finches in Nebraska read more of that newspaper, than do people!
