12 is the most accepted standard for a good compromise between readability and length. Of course, you can usually go over or under 12 by .5 if you are having length issues, and it will go right under the prof's radar :)

12, double spaced. If it goes a couple lines onto a second page, fit it onto one, otherwise leave it.

I got mine with a little squeezing onto 1 1/3. Don't go over 1 1/2. They'll just look at it and get bored.

If its something due tomorrow, use both and print out with both. Ask professor before class or something and decide whch to turn in.

It doesn't have to, but if you put yourself in the body of an adcom, length over a page and amount of attention given to it are inversely proportionate, and understandably so :)

Whatever is necessary to get my paper to 1.5 pages below the minimum page requirement.

12 point double spaced. Like Isekii says, switch to Courier New if you need to make it longer. But I would also go with 1 inch margins if you do. And it's all APA format. :)

I had to fit this one paper to 3 pages (it was too long) requirements were 12pt Times, doublespaced... so I changed the paragraph spacing to 1.85 and got half a point marked off cuz it wasn't double. :|
